Josh Kopelman
Managing Partner of First Round Capital

Josh has been an active entrepreneur and investor in the Internet industry since its commercialization. In 1992, while he was a student at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Josh co-founded Infonautics Corporation – and took it public on the NASDAQ stock exchange in 1996. Josh founded Half.com in July of 1999, and led it to become one of the largest sellers of used books, movies and music in the world. Half.com was acquired by eBay in July 2000 -- and Josh remained with eBay for three years, running the Half.com business unit and growing eBay’s Media marketplace to almost half a billion dollars in annual gross merchandise sales. In late 2003 Josh helped to found TurnTide, an anti-spam company that created the world's first anti-spam router. TurnTide was acquired by Symantec just six months later.

Josh founded First Round Capital in 2004 to reinvent seed-stage investing. And since that time the firm has invested in over 200 emerging technology startups – becoming one of the most active venture capital firms in the country. Josh was ranked 12th on Forbes 2013 “Midas List” of the top 100 tech investors. Josh has been named as one of the top ten ‘angel investors’ in the United States by Newsweek magazine, one of "Tech's New Kingmakers" by Business 2.0 magazineand a "Rising VC Star" by Fortune magazine. Josh also is the proud winner of a second place ribbon in the 2011 Nantucket Watermelon Eating competition.

Ariel Poler
Serial Entrepreneur and Angel Investor

Ariel is an Internet entrepreneur, mentor and investor. He was the founder of IPRO, the first web analytics company, and of Topica, one of the first email communities.

Ariel was board member of Kana Software, LinkExchange, Odeo, LOLapps and StumbleUpon. He currently serves on the boards of Freedom Financial Network, MixTent, Strava and Scan Inc. Ariel’s angel investments include AdMob, Flixster, Slideshare, Xobni, RockYou, Outright, BrightRoll, Instructables, Causes, Kongregate and NexTag.

Ariel holds a B.S. in Mathematics with Computer Science from MIT and an MBA from Stanford University. He is originally from Venezuela and lives in San Francisco with his wife and three children. Ariel is addicted to kitesurfing.

Aileen Lee
Founder of Cowboy Ventures, Partner at Kleiner Perkins

Cowboy Ventures was founded by Aileen Lee in 2012. Prior to Cowboy, Aileen had been a partner with the venture firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB) since 1999. At KPCB, she has been lead or supporting partner in backing a broad variety of companies including Bloom Energy, Blue Nile, Callaway Digital Arts, Good Technology, One Kings Lane, Plum District, Rent the Runway, Shopkick, Tellme, and Trendyol. She was also founding CEO of RMG Networks (RMGN), the leading digital out-of-home media company, backed by KPCB.

Prior to joining KPCB, Aileen held roles at Gap Inc., The North Face, Odwalla, and Morgan Stanley. She has degrees from MIT, Harvard Business School, and Millburn High School.

Mahendra Ramsinghani
Managing Director, First Step Fund, author of The Business of Venture Capital

Mahendra manages Invest-Detroit’s First Step Fund, a micro-finance fund that is focused on seed and early stage investments in the region. Since its launch, the Fund has invested in 40+ companies across technology, healthcare and energy sectors. At the MEDC, he led the efforts for development of two Fund-of-Funds programs that was signed into a legislation and currently deploys $200 million in VC Funds.

Mahendra is the author of “The Business of Venture Capital: Insights from Leading Practitioners on the Art of Raising a Fund, Deal Structuring, Value Creation, and Exit Strategies (Wiley Finance).

Andy White
Partner, VegasTechFund

Andy is an entrepreneur, angel investor and car nut. As a founder of SchoolCenter, an edtech content management platform, he was able to complete the cycle from struggling startup through exit. The company sold in 2011 and is now part of Blackboard, Inc.

During the transition he was able to get a crash course on current startup techniques as an investor and the executive director for the seed program BoomStartup, a TechStars Network affiliate program ranked as one of the top 15 accelerators in the country.

His current position as a partner with the VegasTechFund allows him to help empower amazing founders and startups passionate about building community in downtown Las Vegas.

George Kellerman
Partner & Fire Chief of 500 Startups

George is a Partner and Fire Chief at 500 Startups. George used to be a firefighter (a real one) but now he helps 500 start fires and change the way startups get launched, funded, and grown. Prior to 500 he held senior positions at Dell Japan, Experian Interactive, and Yahoo Japan. He's also a recovering attorney, but he makes up for it by surfing and sailing as much as he can.

Garry Tan
Partner at Y Combinator, Partner at Initialized Capital

Garry Tan is a Partner at Y Combinator, previously Designer-in-Residence. He was a cofounder at Posterous, cofounded the financial analysis platform at Palantir Technologies and was a Program Manager at Microsoft for Windows Mobile. He graduated from Stanford in Computer Systems Engineering in 2003.

Aydin Senkut
Founder & Managing Director of Felicis Ventures

Aydin Senkut is the Founder and Managing Director of Felicis Ventures. He has been named one of the top 25 tech angels by Businessweek recently and was featured as one of the top 8 up and coming VCs by Forbes’ Midas List. Felicis Ventures portfolio encompasses over 80 companies currently including Clearslide, Dropcam, Inkling, Practice Fusion, Rovio, and Shopify. In the last 5 years, over 46 Felicis backed start-ups have been acquired by firms such as Google, Facebook, Twitter, Groupon, Microsoft, AT&T, Disney, Ebay, Chegg and Intuit.

Prior to starting Felicis Ventures, Aydin was a Senior Manager at Google, responsible for strategic partner development and account management in Asia Pacific (including Japan). Aydin joined Google in 1999 as its first Product Manager to launch Google’s first 10 international sites, its first online search licensing products and its first Safe Search. He then became the first International Sales Manager at Google, responsible for world-wide licensing deals.

Before joining Google, Aydin was the Product Manager for Data Visualization and Data Mining software MineSet, and led the business development efforts for the financial services industry at SGI.

Adam Draper
Founder & CEO of Boost

Adam Draper is a fourth generation venture investor who loves mentoring startups. Adam has invested in companies such as Path, Coinbase and MinoMonsters, and sits on the boards of four companies. Adam has two goals in life: One is to help every entrepreneur find their mission in life and the other is to build an Iron Man suit.

He previously founded Xpert Financial, a startup that helped later stage companies raise capital online while he was at UCLA, where he majored with a degree in English.

Andrea Zurek
Founding Partner of XG Ventures

Andrea Zurek has been an active angel investor since 2006. Ms. Zurek has been named one of the top 25 tech angels by Businessweek. In addition, she has been named one of "25 Influential Business Women in San Francisco/Silicon Valley You Should Follow on Twitter 2010". She has also been profiled in the 2009 Top 40 Under 40 in the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal and most recently in San Francisco Magazine.

Zurek worked at Google for over 7 years, starting in early 2000, as one of the first ad sales executives. She built and managed the West Coast sales region, leading over 30 sales people with annual bookings of $100M+. She was responsible for inking over 200+ deals of new business, across multiple verticals, including building original partnerships with eBay, Wal-Mart, E*Trade, CNet, Cisco, and Macy's.

Horacio Melo
Executive Director of Startup Chile

Horacio leads the team behind the groundbreaking government initiative Start-Up Chile. Horacio's previous work experience includes marketing positions at LAN Airlines and Procter & Gamble. He also was selected in 2012 one of the 100 youth leaders by El Mercurio.

Alex Mittal
Co-founder and CEO of FundersClub

Alex Mittal is Co-Founder & CEO of FundersClub, the world's first online VC firm. Prior to his time as an entrepreneur, Mittal was active in science research, presenting at the 2002 Nobel Prize Ceremonies, and MIT Lincoln Laboratory named an asteroid after him for his work.

Boris Silver
Co-founder and President of FundersClub

Boris is Co-Founder and President of FundersClub, the world’s first online VC platform and the only online investing platform admitted as a member of the NVCA. He was previously founder and CEO of Sport Interactiva, a leading fantasy sports gaming company on Facebook (sold to Citizen Sports and acquired by Yahoo!). He was named an Ambassador of Entrepreneurship by Wharton and currently serves on the Board of Advisors to a venture backed technology company. Previously, Silver worked at Bunge, a global agribusiness, in their Commodity Trading and Risk Management program. Jeff Fluhr
Founder and CEO of Spreecast, Co-founder and Former CEO of StubHub

Jeff is a Co-founder and CEO of Spreecast, the social video platform that connects people through video conversation. He is also a Co-founder of StubHub, where he served as CEO from inception until its acquisition by eBay in 2007.

Jeff sits on the board of or is an advisor to several consumer-oriented internet and mobile companies. He has been the recipient of several awards including the Joseph Wharton Award for Young Leadership, San Francisco Business Times’ 40 under 40 List, Sports Business Journal’s prestigious 40 under 40 List, and Entrepreneur Magazine’s 24 Best and Brightest Young Entrepreneurs in America. Earlier in his career, Jeff worked at the Blackstone Group and Thomas Weisel Partners.

He earned a dual degree in engineering and finance from the University of Pennsylvania and attended Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.

Bill Clerico
Founder and CEO of WePay

Bill is Co-Founder and CEO of WePay. He manages the company’s vision, strategy, and growth.

Before joining WePay, Bill worked in technology investment banking at Jefferies & Company, where he advised enterprise software, digital media, and financial technology companies on M&A and capital market transactions. Previously, he worked for the U.S. Army's Communications Engineering Research Command and in electronic trading at Goldman Sachs. He was named Best Tech Entrepreneur of 2011 in Businessweek.

Jessica Mah
Co-founder and CEO of inDinero

As Co-founder and Chief of inDinero, Jessica drives the development of inDinero’s product strategy, software development, and design efforts. She and her partners built the core product over the Summer of 2009, and the company has since raised funding from investors such as Y Combinator.

Mah was the founder and technical lead behind internshipIN.com, which helped match students with internships. She’s been programming since age 9, building businesses since age 12, and finished high school at age 15.

Mah holds degrees from Simon’s Rock the Early College, and from U.C. Berkeley, where she studied computer science and was president of the computer science undergraduate association. Mah has been mentioned in publications ranging from Inc. magazine to the Wall Street Journal, and has been featured on PBS to encourage students to pursue science and entrepreneurship.

Chris Bennett
Co-founder and CEO of Soldsie

Chris Bennett is Co-founder and CEO of Soldsie (formerly Centrally), a payment system enabling merchants to monetize their Facebook page by allowing customers to purchase through comments.

Through Soldsie, customers register their payment information and then comment on stores’ pages, channels and feeds to activate a charge to their account, and initiate the shipping process. Merchants use the Soldsie administrative dashboard track and manage inventory and shipping, and experience increased user comments, views and viral shares.

Sander Daniels
Co-founder of Thumbtack

Sander Daniels is Co-founder and serves as Director of Online Marketing at Thumbtack, Inc. Previously, Daniels served as the company’s Director of User Happiness. Thumbtack’s mission is to make it dramatically easier to hire services, while at the same time empowering independent professionals to grow their business. Whether it is planning a wedding or remodeling a home, the company helps people to hire small local service professionals for small and large tasks.

Matin Tamizi
Co-founder and CEO of Balanced

Matin is co-founder and CEO of Balanced whose goal is to increase the world's economic output by building payment tools for online marketplaces. Innovative companies like reddit, Fancy, Crowdtilt, and GroupMe have selected Balanced to power their payments.

Before Balanced, Matin was an early employee at Milo.com, a local shopping search engine which was acquired by eBay in 2010. There he served as VP of business development in addition to building Milo's automated product categorization tools. Matin has a BS in Computer Engineering from University of Maryland, College Park where he built DDoS prevention algorithms.

Peter Kazanjy
Founder of TalentBin

Peter is the Founder of TalentBin, a talent search engine that scoops up all the implicit professional activity people engage in across the web, makes sense of it, and “shmooshes” it into a composite professional profile, chock full of all those professional skills and interests you were too lazy to put on your LinkedIn profile.

Before starting TalentBin, Peter created Honestly.com, a community-generated professional reputation site -- like Yelp, but for professionals. Before all that, Peter was the Director of Product Marketing at Sharethrough, and held a variety of marketing and product marketing roles at VMware. And before that he spent four years reading english literature and philosophy at Stanford, where he got a BA and MA, in between spending lots of time on the Ski and Ultimate Frisbee teams.

Peter lives in San Francisco, where he spends way too much time thinking about professional reputation and identity.

Ash Rust
Co-founder and CEO of SendHub

Ash Rust is the CEO and Cofounder of SendHub. Previously, he was the Director of Ranking at Klout and the lead relevance engineer at OneRiot (acquired by Walmartlabs). Rakesh Tondon
Co-founder and CEO of Le Tote

Rakesh has had exposure to, and a strong interest in fashion since early in his life in India. His sister, a former fashion designer, had a strong influence on how he thinks about design, commerce and fashion. He moved to the US at the age of 17 to pursue his dreams and has become a successful restaurateur, and previously, an investment banker. Prior to LE TOTE, Rakesh worked for JP Morgan and Ridgecrest Capital in technology M&A, and he started and owns a profitable, thriving restaurant group. Felicia Curcuru

Felicia is currently Vice President of User Experience at FundersClub. At FundersClub, she founded and runs the FundersClub Panel, a group of 100 angel investors that help FundersClub vet companies. Felicia previously was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, where she worked for energy and technology clients in the US, Asia and Europe. Josh Constine is an accomplished technology journalist with a Masters degree in Cybersociology from Stanford University. He currently writes for TechCrunch where for the last two years he's covered startups, venture capital, social products, advertising, and the intersection of technology and society. One of his specialities is analysis of Facebook, which he developed as a writer for Inside Facebook. Previously, he earned a Bachelors degree with Honors from Stanford University in Sociology.Josh currently lives in the Mission District of San Francisco.

Danielle Morrill
